Repairs To Satellite & Freeview Receivers
We repair Sky receivers of all types including Sky, Sky+ and
Sky HD. Faulty sets may be dead or stuck in standby or may show various picture faults. Power supply and hard drive failure is becoming common place on Sky+ and Sky HD boxes. We are equipped to repair these faults and most others.

If your satellite or Freeview box seems to be playing up there is something you can try yourself! First of all unplug the boxes mains lead. Secondly wait 20 seconds. Third and last, plug back in and wait 2 minutes before bringing the box out of standby. That may well solve your problem.

The same applies to Freeview boxes although we do have to watch the repair costs as Freeview boxes can be obtained pretty cheaply these days. Got to be worth a call to us to check though.

Now some Top Tips.

Don't buy a TV with satellite, DVD or VCR built-in if you can help it. If the DVD or whatever part of the set goes wrong the whole set will stop working. This will mean no TV whilst repairs are carried out and we have had cases where a TV has had to be scrapped because a new DVD board was not available from
the manufacturer.

Keep cool!
Keep all this equipment as cool as possible. Make sure
there is good air flow around it all and do not cover air vents.
If the equipment is in a cabinet with doors keep them open
or remove them. Site everything away from radiators and other
sources of heat.
